Private Client, Harpenden, Hertfordshire
Material Used – Artemistone Statuario Dorado Quartz
For this beautiful home in Harpenden, our client envisioned a contemporary open-plan kitchen with a statement surface that would raise the bar of the entire living space. Working closely with our talented friends at Daniel Ramsay Kitchens, we helped bring this dream to life with the stunning Artemistone Statuario Dorado quartz.
To boost the look of the two-tone modern cabinetry, the Artemistone Statuario Dorado quartz is brought to life with large grey veins and hints of gold, which particularly looks striking combined with the overall look of the kitchen.
Grounding the space is the impressive centrepiece, designed as a T-shaped kitchen island. It is designed to perfectly balance the three concepts of cooking, entertaining, and everyday family life. The horizontal top of the ‘T’ forms a generous workspace, ideal for cooking and prep. The vertical base of the ‘T’ is designed specifically for seating, creating a social hub at the heart of the kitchen.
Maximising the visual impact of the quartz, we crafted waterfall edges on each end of the island’s main countertop. At a flawless 90-degree angle, the stone cascades down the sides, showcasing the striking veining of Statuario Dorado and giving the entire island a sculptural, high-end appearance.
Beyond the island, we also completed the sink run, finishing it with matching upstands to achieve a clean, cohesive look.
Together with Daniel Ramsay, we’ve created a space that is highly functional and visually breathtaking. It’s a place that delivers moments of drama and detail.
