Material Used – Bianco Misterio Quartz

This Hertford home is the latest project we have completed alongside our trusted friends at Daniel Ramsay Kitchens. The brief was a white and grey kitchen that felt calm and bright and quietly luxurious, with an island that would become the focal point.

The layout is a classic L-shape with a central island. It is one of the most practical kitchen layouts there is. The island adds extra workspace and a natural gathering point where the L keeps cooking, prep and storage within easy reach.

LED lighting runs beneath the worktop on the island, creating the illusion that the quartz is floating above the floor. During the day, the effect is subtle, and in the evening, it gives the whole room a soft, ambient glow and turns the island into a genuine design statement.

Bianco Misterio is a subtle marble-effect quartz, and it was the ideal choice for a white and grey scheme. Its white base keeps the kitchen bright, while its soft grey veining picks up the tones of the cabinetry and ties the palette together.

Because the veining is gentle rather than dramatic, Bianco Misterio also lets the architecture do the talking.
