Material Used – Himalaya Quartz

We are back with our trusted friends at Daniel Ramsay Kitchens for another white and grey kitchen, and this time the star of the show runs right up the wall.

It is a great example of how the details make the difference. A worktop alone can look beautiful, but carrying the same material up the wall gives the whole space a sense of scale, continuity and finish that is hard to achieve any other way.

A standard splashback stops a short way above the worktop. A full-height splashback keeps going, so the quartz becomes a wall in its own right. In this kitchen, it runs the length of one side, and the effect is striking.

There are practical advantages too. It’s easy to clean and protects the wall behind the hob.

Himalaya quartz has a white base with cool grey textured clouds bursting through the surface. Rather than fine, linear veining, the pattern is soft and cloud-like, with movement and depth that come to life across a large area. Perfect for the feature wall.
