In More Detail – Quartzforms Planet Neptune 20252 min read

We had the pleasure of recently completing one of our client’s homes in Hertfordshire with the mysterious and charming Quartzforms Planet Neptune. The Planet Collection from Quartzforms is a new range that is available in harmonious colours enriched with elegance through the veining inspired by natural stone.

Far away and unreachable, invisible to the naked eye, Neptune appears as a bluish, opaline sphere. It has a deep and luminous surface, crossed by a darker veining pattern: a rational design, influenced by time and nature.

Quartzforms is headquartered in Magdeburg, Germany and are proud to use the exclusive Bretonstone process. An unrivalled versatility, resistance, aesthetic performance, hygienic quality and easy maintenance have won the trust of architects and interior designers across the world. 92% crushed quartz, mirrors, glass and granite, 7% is a blend of polymer resins and a further 1% is colour pigmentation – all of which result in a very practical quartz surface, highly resistant to scratching, staining and heat. The surface is 99.99% non-porous and does not require sealing.

Unique, unrepeatable and attractive for extraordinary, everyday luxury.

This property was only a short distance away from the showroom and underwent a huge renovation that meant the kitchen was on a lower level than the rest of the house. Our client opted for a dark blue kitchen with lighter elements and the bluish veins from the Neptune quartz meant that it was the perfect match.

The choice of copper portraying through the kitchen design really tells a story and starts a conversation with the guests who will enter this wonderful space.

The open-plan space is formed with a galley kitchen, central island and a seating area with a cosy couch. The kitchen island is home to the induction hob and extraction fan and offers our client plenty of worktop space to prepare and cook that delicious dinner. It also acts as a divider for the different zones and acts as an informal seating area with the softest of seats.

To complete the sink area and to maintain the clean and simple look, our client opted for a full-height splashback and drainer grooves. We even added a chopping board for an extra touch too.

A more detailed shot of this mysterious quartz. Quartzforms use cutting-edge technology to manufacture natural stone into an unrivalled versatile, resistant and easily maintained product.

To show you just how mysterious this quartz is, look at the bluish vein flowing down the side in this shot. This dream kitchen oozes style, simplicity and freshness.
