To add a special touch to this kitchen in Hertford Heath our client opted for Brazilian Granite known as Azurite. It certainly makes a stand out feature in this modern shaker kitchen and the colours are just beautiful. We wanted to help our client achieve the ‘wow-factor’ with the colour combinations found in the stone as well as match it to the dark and sultry cabinets and the modern brass handles.
Granite adds a gorgeous finish to your kitchen, firstly you get to select the exact slabs of material you would like and where they are positioned for the most effective and second, the stone is 100% natural so no two slabs are the same.
Azurite Granite is an exotic natural stone from Brazil also known as Blue Sea Granite. It presents a mid-blue base with an interesting pattern of veins and grains that range in tones from white, beige, cyan and copper. The deep blue found within the stone contains random ore deposits with clear shades on a material that brings the natural beauty of deserts and winter skies to any interior.
The name comes from the Arabic ‘Azure’ which originates from the area in Persia that is known for its mineral deposits of blue natural stones.
The kitchen is a perfect L-shape with a breakfast bar large in size with seating on both sides, easily doubling up as a dining table.
The hob area is surrounded by a full-height splashback and upstand completing the look. Undercabinet lighting was opted to add a subtle illumination and give the kitchen extra task and mood lighting, perfect for entertaining. What a wonderful way of illuminating those delightful worktops.
The sink area is completed with drainer grooves to help liquids escape the flat surface.
