What Kitchen Trends are Coming in 2023?3 min read

In this blog, we look to see the upcoming trends that are going to enhance your kitchen space in 2023. We are at the end of the year now, the Christmas season is in full swing and it won’t be long until we celebrate the new year. We want to be ahead of the game and give you tips this side of Christmas on how to freshen and brighten your homes for the new year ahead. Each year some trends may change and some stay the same.

Bringing the outdoors in with nature

Foliage decoration is hitting our homes and we can see why as it reconnects us with nature. We believe this will be in full swing in 2023, we have already seen properties filled with the popular pampas! We all want to have more green in our kitchens seeing as we spend the most time in there, and why not? Different plants and greenery can help produce clean oxygen, fill the room with a sense of peace and calm and look great adding colour and vibrance to every corner of the home.

Adding open shelving to the design

Open shelving continues to be a trend in kitchen design where you can display your stylish kitchenware, beautiful sentimental pieces, breathtaking artwork and additional kitchen accessories. The kitchen isn’t just for preparing food, we spend most of our time in the kitchen as it’s the heart of the home and a space where you can gather with family and friends.

No more impulse buying either because open shelving utilises and displays the beautiful items you already have, where some may be kept behind closed doors they can now be on show.

Creating more space and storage with extended pantries

Extended pantries are a great addition to the kitchen to offer more space and storage. In new kitchen designs, many of us are opting for this, we can incorporate worktops into these where you have more space to prep and cook meals for everyone.

Family-friendly kitchens perfect for everyone

Like we said earlier, we are spending most of our time in the kitchen, they’re the busy central hub of the home, and everyone is welcome there. Many homeowners are creating large open-plan spaces that mix the kitchen, dining and living areas together, but with an island sitting central dividing the zones. These spaces make it family-friendly but there are some things to consider when redesigning your kitchen.

Plan your kitchen’s layout so the children can pass through whilst avoiding the more dangerous areas. It may be worth considering a material and surface that is easy to clean, remember those children often leave a trail of sticky fingerprints.

Choosing a quartz worksurface means less work for you, and a lifetime of luxurious design in your kitchen.
