A Week of Worktops in August3 min read

We wanted to show you just an example of a busy week at Cawdor Stone Gallery. We get our fitters to take photographs as they finish the job and send them to the office via a dedicated WhatsApp group. By doing this we all feel more involved as a team. The sales team get to see the stone that is actually installed and gives us a chance to say a personal thank you to our fitters who have looked after our clients with whom we have built a relationship.

Remember these are not professional photos, but our fitters’ phone snaps. Professional photos will come at a later date, when the kitchen is completed and at our client’s convenience.

This particular week saw many different stones being installed from quartz worktops to quartzite worktops and even some outdoor applications. Here are just a few of the worktops we installed this week. You might even find the perfect one for you!

Calacatta Fantasy Quartz, installed in Stevenage, Herts

@stoneworldlondon Calacatta Fantasy was the stone our client chose and we fabricated and installed it for their property in Stevenage, Herts. This stone features a soft waved pattern and is perfect if you are looking for the most marble-esque vein pattern. To complete the look, upstands, a full-height splashback and a windowsill were added. A beautiful project and one that we absolutely love.

Donatello Quartzite, installed in Hertfordshire

@stoneworldlondon Donatello Quartzite completing the final area of this large outdoor project. Not as straightforward as it seems as both of the tops needed scribing to the brick wall, but the finish is beautiful, wouldn’t you agree? A dense stone filled with greys completes a pattern.

Caesarstone 5143 White Attica Quartz, installed in Hitchin, Herts

Strong veins are the name of the game in this kitchen, with @caesarstone_uk 5143 White Attica looking the bee’s knees. An alluring combination that overflows with the rush of dense, dark and mild grey diagonal veins, ebbing across a flawless white base. To complete the look of this kitchen we added upstands, a windowsill and a full-height splashback to the cooking area.

Roma Quartz, installed in Knebworth, Herts

@istones_uk Roma in a 20mm thickness is another one of our installations this week. A classic style with beautiful veining scattering across the surface, it’s destined for either a traditional or modern style. We completed the project with upstands, a curved radius on the island, a full-height splashback behind the cooking area and a cold-shelf and open-shelf in a pantry cupboard. It’s the little details!

Carrara Quartz, installed in Chelmsford, Essex

In this week of installations, we come across the extremely versatile 20mm @niletradingukltd Carrara Quartz. A lot of interest without being overpowering, perfect for any style kitchen. We completed the kitchen with a full-height splashback that sat on both sides of the kitchen and a gorgeous windowsill that becomes the perfect place for sentimental items.

Perla Quartz, installed in Digswell, Herts

Our client from Digswell made use of our offcut section to complete their bathroom. They chose Perla Quartz – a very versatile stone that is off-white with creamy hues bringing warmth and comfort immediately into your space. The addition of subtle grey that is scattered throughout the surface adds a natural look and characteristic that easily translates any room into a unique and contemporary design. We completed this beautiful bathroom with a shelf, a his and hers cut-out and a windowsill.
