For this exceptional modern home in Harpenden, we were delighted to collaborate once again with the talented team at Daniel Ramsay Kitchens. Together, we helped transform the property’s heart and living space into a luxurious, design-led environment featuring expertly crafted stonework throughout.
When it came to selecting the stone for their home, our client wanted something that would bring both luxury and harmony to their open-plan space. They loved the idea of marble but wanted something suitable for everyday family life, and this is where Horizon Samurai was chosen. With a white backdrop and a beautiful marble texture with golden veining, it’s a statement of beauty.
From the statement kitchen island to the refined medial wall, this particular quartz now takes centre stage across several areas, providing a wonderful connection between the kitchen and adjoining living spaces.

Bold Kitchen Island & Striking Wall Cladding
Highlighting the veins through the centre of the kitchen, the island becomes the true focal point. Wrapped in Horizon Samurai, the waterfall ends create a sculptural effect that immediately draws the eye.
Carrying the same quartz to the sink area and sides of the cabinetry, the wall cladding replaces traditional tiles or a mirrored splashback to bring a clean finish and offer another wrapped effect. Reflecting the light beautifully, the wall surface adds depth and a luxurious texture to one of the kitchen’s working areas.
Entertaining at its Finest – Breakfast Pantry & Drinks Cabinet
Our client wanted to create a home with social living in mind. From the elegant drinks cabinet to the inviting breakfast pantry, each feature encourages effortless entertaining any time of the day. Whether it’s a quiet morning coffee and pastries, a weekend brunch indulging in a stack of pancakes, or an evening with friends, nibbles and cocktails, this kitchen adapts beautifully to every occasion.
The breakfast pantry opens up to reveal the striking quartz, while the drinks cabinet is on show 24/7, displaying the beautiful veins. It’s a luxury in itself!
A Designer’s Statement Media Wall
Designed symmetrically to display certain statement pieces, this luxury media wall extends the stone beyond the kitchen with a huge centrepiece. We cladded the whole middle part to mirror the stone from the kitchen and bring cohesion and calm to this relaxing lounge.
The result is our breathtaking craftsmanship that can create something extraordinary like this. It’s the place you want to be on these cold nights, snuggled and watching your favourite TV programme or the latest blockbuster.
