Our recent project in Harpenden transformed a basement into the ultimate entertainment hub – a stylish and functional retreat designed for unforgettable nights. This basement is more than just a space; it’s an experience that is made up of a sophisticated home bar, a dedicated wine room, an open area to dance the night away with space for a DJ setup, and multiple TV zones so you’ll never miss a match.
This stunning project was part of a full home renovation, where every detail was carefully considered. The quartz surfaces selected were installed with precision, showcasing our commitment to quality work. The result is a home that exudes elegance and durability, with striking stone features that enhance the overall design.

Premium Stones for a Luxurious Finish
An amazing space like this one deserves nothing but the best materials. For this project, we used a combination of two quartz stones:
Technistone Pietra Grey Quartz
Technistone Pietra Grey is a sophisticated dark grey stone, featuring subtle lighter veining that beautifully echoes the elegance of natural marble.
Caesarstone Bianco Drift Quartz
Caesarstone Bianco Drift offers a luminous, polished surface adorned with delicate swirling accents of soft browns and misty greys, seamlessly blending to create a timeless and refined aesthetic.
Choosing durable quartz surfaces like these not only provides a hardwearing top and easy maintenance but also enhances the aesthetic of the space, making them perfect for a high-traffic entertainment space.
A Home Bar That Rivals London’s Best
A home bar should be a statement, where everyone can gather to enjoy an unforgettable evening, whatever the occasion. Straight from inspiration from a swanky Mayfair bar, this bespoke bar exudes elegance with sleek cabinetry, wood panelling and rich walnut features to create a warm, sophisticated ambience.
On either side of the backdrop, there are illuminated shelving to showcase premium spirits, making this bar feel like an exclusive cocktail lounge right at home. The stunning mirrored backdrop, adds depth and reflects the soft glow of ambient lighting with the Pietra Grey quartz surface below, enhancing the luxe aesthetic and making this bar the perfect space for mixing drinks. The added chopping boards are for crafting delicious cocktails with fresh fruit.
At the front of this exclusive home bar is the curved bar seating area that offers a perfect spot for guests to relax while staying connected to the cooking space where you will find the chef creating delicious canapes. The bar top was raised higher and connected to the worktop with an upstand, this stone is Bianco Drift.
A Walk-In Wine Room for the Wine Connoisseur
Be greeted with a luxurious walk-in wine room as soon as you come down the stairs. This magnificent basement wouldn’t be complete without this wine room. It has been designed to store and display an impressive collection, where the space is both functional and visually stunning. Each bottle is beautifully illuminated, while the climate-controlled environment ensures every sip is perfection.
This room has been completed with the Bianco Drift.
Never Miss a Moment with Multiple TV Zones
Floating sleek cabinets, walnut backdrops and Pietra Grey worktops are the features of the multiple TV areas. From sports fans to movie lovers, our client’s basement has been designed to never miss a moment of the action. This setup ensures the best viewing experience from every angle from watching the big game with friends to enjoying a film night with family.
Illuminate the Room and Add Luxury Features
The whole space has been designed to keep the energy high and the atmosphere electric. It’s not about just lounging, it’s built for entertainment where the open area is designed for dancing and a DJ. Our client’s basement is the place to host parties and celebrations.
This section of the space features floating walnut cabinets, a large mirror and Pietra Grey worktops. It’s where elegance and personality are found.
