In More Detail – Carrara Quartz in Tring2 min read

Not that far down the road from the previous project, we updated a kitchen design with another Carrara quartz, this time a material that was sourced by ourselves. This property in Tring had a kitchen update with modern, matt handleless cabinets and a light pink wall. The kitchen is set within an open-plan space that is used for dining too, and the living area is in the extension.

This Carrara quartz gives a stunning natural marble appearance in this light, white and bright kitchen and we can’t get enough of it.

The kitchen layout is made up of a U-shape with a peninsula on the end that zones the different areas of the open-plan space. We added upstands to complete the look too.

The most beautiful and obvious feature about this worktop and to take note of is the Sharknose edge profile which brings the whole kitchen bang up to date. A special metal track features behind the handle which gives the impression that the worktop is floating; the Sharknose project then helps to bring this to life.

An overview shot of the peninsula. It looks absolutely breathtaking and is a real timeless piece. Just see how those grey veins disperse through the surface.

We fabricated drainer grooves into the stone at the sink area and added a chopping board in the same stone for convenience.

Wow, what a shot of this gorgeous open-plan space from the other side of the kitchen.
