This particular client in Hertfordshire wanted to create something truly spectacular in their hub of the home with a very large central island with top and details to suit.
They chose the Bianco Eclipse Quartzite to complete their kitchen design. It consists of distinctive marking and a white-grey background to complement the cabinetry. They didn’t want something that would detract from the overall colour scheme, and we think this is a wonderful choice.
Quartzite is a hard, non-foliated metamorphic rock that was originally pure quartz sandstone. This particular natural material is from Brazil and is harder than granite.
We completed this project with a large kitchen island and a countertop along one wall. A bonded edge with an ogee and half-bullnose profile edge was chosen with a 3cm piece to the underside and a 3cm top giving the appearance of a strong 6cm thick top.
