Create an Autumn Kitchen3 min read

We are in the second week of October and we know that Autumn is well on its way. Trees will start to shred their leaves and the gound will fill up with red and amber colours. A lot of people love this time of year and for one we do. We love the colours Autumn brings with the deep reds, glowing ambers and the cosy nights that will be drawing upon us. Autumn colours will sure create a seasonal glow in your hub of the home, so take a look below at an Autumn palette that you could use in your kitchen design.

Styling your kitchen for the Autumn months

Styling your kitchen from Summer to Autumn won’t take much work, as you only need a few colour changes and aesthetic displays to create a cosy space with warmth and joy.

If your space is modern and contemporary with an open-plan layout, add extra depth with different coloured flowers, cosy blankets and traditional furniture. There are lots of Autumn flowers around with rich and deep colours to keep your space inviting. Add new artwork and kitchen accessories to brighten up the space.

We have many quartz and granite worktops to complement an Autumn colour scheme.

The colour palette

Oranges and yellows

Burnt oranges and yellows are the perfect colours to create an all-time Autumn classic in the home. They are made up of beautiful warm tones that remind us of cosy nights in, feasting on spicy pumpkin soup and sipping on spiced pumpkin lattes, or those glazed carrots on a Sunday roast to warm us right through. This glowing scheme will sure keep your kitchen feeling snug this fall.

Rich and earthy reds

Use rich and earthy reds to create a cinnamon swirl style colour scheme. Crimson hues are a great way of welcoming warmth into the kitchen space. This type of colour palette is adaptable, looking great in a rustic country kitchen or a modern design.

Forest greens and deep turquoise

A palette of green and turquoise will look great all year round. When we think of Autumn we always look at reds and oranges, but blues and greens will certainly look fabulous next to a soft berry red painted wall.

Add seasonal touches

Autumn accessories such as scented candles and wicker baskets have already hit our stores, which are perfect for the kitchen. With these accessories, you can create the perfect Autumn woodland scene. Create a centrepiece on the table or worktops with butternut squashes, pumpkins and nuts and autumnal flowers to let the colours glow and flow throughout the hub of the home.

Host events

We welcome the warm colours and chilly Autumn nights, where Halloween and Bonfire night is just around the corner. Summer BBQs become a distant memory, but it doesn’t mean that we have to say goodbye to those wonderful parties we host. We have to be extra careful this year due to the pandemic so we can only host for 6 including yourself. This season definitely makes us get that extra cosy where we choose more cosy chairs, drink mulled wine and indulge in delicious cookies that we baked earlier.
